From Ottoman Turkish آنجق (ancak) from Proto-Oghuz [Term?] (ančak, “exactly like that”) from earlier Proto-Oghuz [Term?] (anča ok, “exactly like that”) emphatic form of Proto-Oghuz [Term?] (anča, “like that”) equative form of Proto-Turkic *ol (“he/she/it/that”).
