The goddess Hera, the wife and sister of Zeus.
From Ancient Greek Ἥρᾱ (Hḗrā), of uncertain origin. Possibly from a Pre-Greek substrate. Alternative derivation from ὥρα (hṓra) (“season, time, ripe age”) has been proposed but is disputed.
