The twenty-eighth and final letter in traditional abjad order, which is used in place of numerals for list numbering (abjad numerals). It is preceded by ظ (ẓ).

Etimoloji (İngilizce)

Derived from ع (ʕ), and originally written as such (in rasm) by analogy with Nabatean tradition, as Nabatean cognates of Arabic words with /ɣ/ were indiscriminately spelled using 𐢗 (ʿ).
