The eighth letter of the Arabic alphabet. Its name is دَال (dāl), and is preceded by خ (ḵ) and followed by ذ (ḏ).

Symbol

The fourth letter in traditional abjad order, which is used in place of numerals for list numbering (abjad numerals). It is preceded by ج (j) and followed by ه (h).
