The seventh letter of the Arabic alphabet. Its name is خَاء (ḵāʔ), and is preceded by ح (ḥ) and followed by د (d).

Symbol

The twenty-fourth letter in traditional abjad order, which is used in place of numerals for list numbering (abjad numerals). It is preceded by ث (ṯ) and followed by ذ (ḏ).

Etimoloji (İngilizce)

Derived from ح (ḥ), and originally written as such (in rasm) by analogy with Nabatean tradition, as Nabatean cognates of Arabic words with /x/ were indiscriminately spelled using 𐢊 (ḥ).
