Etymology

From New Latin diūrēsis, from Ancient Greek διουρέω (diouréō, “to urinate”) + -σις (-sis). Morphologically, δῐουρέω (dĭouréō) can be analysed as δι- (di-) + οὐρέω (ouréō).
