Coupé comme
co‧ri‧cà‧re
Prononcé comme (IPA)
/ko.riˈka.re/
Étymologie (Anglais)

Inherited from Latin collocāre (“set in place”). The more conservative variant colcare led to corcare through the widespread rhotacism of preconsonantal /l/. The epenthetic /i/ may have been inserted by analogy with the similar-sounding caricare ~ carcare (“to load, stow”). Doublet of collocare, which was borrowed from Latin.
